“The Day It Rained Hearts” Story Explorers preschool book club

Read The Day it Rained Hearts by Felicia Bond.

We talked about how personalized Cornelia Augusta made all of her Valentines.

We traced our arms and used heart cookies cutters for leaves to make Trees of Love. The link to the blog where I got this is broken so I just used the picture on pinterest as a template.

I love how this boy colored grass at the bottom of his tree.

This boy’s mom helped him write his name.

This girl loved the marker on her hand from her mother tracing it.

We made lovebugs like this post from Buggy and Buddy.

Then I set out supplies and gave the kids free reign to make whatever type of Valentine they would like. I love how much the parents loved this one too.

Happy Valentine’s Day!
